About Jennie

Jennie is Tombot's animatronic emotional support puppy for seniors who cannot safely keep a live dog. Jim Henson's Creature Shop shaped the fur, expressions, and movements. Nine servo motors drive head tilts, eyebrow raises, tail wags, and barks triggered by voice or touch. Capacitive sensors across the body distinguish petting from vigorous pats; a companion app renames the pup and adjusts responsiveness over Bluetooth or local Wi-Fi. Tombot targets about $1,500 at launch and is pursuing FDA regulation for clinical use. The first litter sold out; new units ship from the waitlist with timing shared privately.
