The Unitree G1 is a compact humanoid about 127 cm tall. It is lighter and less expensive than many other human-shaped robots, which makes it popular with students, developers, and early adopters.

It can walk, balance, and move its arms. Buyers use Unitree's software and ROS 2 tools to teach it new skills. Some people experiment with home helper ideas, even though the G1 is mainly sold as a developer platform today.

You can pre-order the G1 in several countries for around $16,000. Battery life is about two hours per charge. It is one of the most realistic ways to get a capable humanoid without a six-figure budget.
